Galupa
Galupa is a Women’s Community in North East Arnhem Land. It is the historic pre colonisation landing place for the trepang collectors of Sulawesi (Indonesia). In modern times Galupa is surrounded on three sides by a bauxite mine. The Women have been offered great sums of money to leave their traditional lands. Their response is an inspiration and reminder of the depth and resolve of the First Nations People of Australia.
