The Tyalgum Energy Projects focus was to bring awareness to people across Australia that there are better alternatives to how we generate and use power. Tyalgum, being in the unique position of being on the end of the grid, having a small community and having plenty of natural land around it, is the perfect place to create such a message.

The direct community is a village of aprox 300 houses and 500 people and only needs around 1MW of power to become carbon neutral. This can be achieved through creating a solar garden on community land within the village that would provide walk ways, picnic areas, gardens and play grounds for the residents. The project would also create on going jobs within the local community.

AIP supports this project, because we believe that building greener and more sustainable communities is the way of the future.
